NASMEI is a Section 402 not-for-profit professional organization (Tax ID: 16-1373055) focused on knowledge development and exchange.

We provide a forum for professionals in marketing and related fields resident in the North American continent and their counterparts in India and other designated geographical regions of interest.

Where do we come from

Our History in Brief

1990: NASMEI was founded with primary mission of facilitating marketing knowledge between academics and professionals in North America and India. The founding members were Professors Arun Jain, Vijay Mahajan, A. Parasuraman, Vithala R. Rao, Subrata K. Sen, and Seenu Srinivasan. The tradition of the Annual NASMEI dinner at the American Marketing Association (AMA) Summer Educators' Conference started.

2006: NASMEI partners with Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, India to sponsor and host the inaugural NASMEI conference.

2007: NASMEI organizes a successful Branding India conference supported by Indra Nooyi, Chairman & CEO, Pepsico.

2015: New NASMEI Board elected. It includes six sub-committees.

2016: The 10th Annual NASMEI conference is hosted by Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, India.
